Kyaw Oo
Kyaw Oo was born in Rangoon, Burma and made his way to Kentucky through stops in Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong before arriving in the US (Texas) in 1995. He started his sushi career as a chef’s assistant at I Love Sushi in St. Louis and sharpened his skills at various sushi bars in Maryland, Virginia, New York, Tennessee and California. In 2001, Kyaw Oo joined Menemsha Blue Restaurant in Martha’s Vineyard and after five years in the Northeast, moved to Lexington to join Bluegrass Hospitality Group (BHG).
