
Tin Oo
Tin Oo (center), born in Rangoon, Burma, spent most of his childhood in Europe. He migrated to California in 1993 to further his education and while taking a break from college, decided to work at a friend’s sushi bar in Huntington Beach. In 1998, after college, he moved to Albany, NY and opened a sushi bar inside Cowan & Lobel gourmet market in Stuyvesant Plaza, where Rachael Ray worked as a buyer. In 2000, Tin Oo moved to Providence, RI and operated two sushi bars. Soon after, Tin and his brother along with Kyaw Oo teamed up and opened Menemsha Blue Restaurant in Oak Bluff, Martha’s Vineyard. In 2005, Tin Oo joined the BHG family to operate Aqua Sushi in Lexington.
